Together Through the Heat – Summer Aid for Animals
Every summer brings life – and danger.
When temperatures rise, a stressful and sometimes life-threatening time begins for many animals.
Dogs, cats, horses, strays, and wildlife are highly sensitive to heat. They cannot protect themselves the way we can. Just a few minutes of overheating can lead to dehydration, circulatory collapse, or in the worst case, death.
Every year, we see how urgently help is needed.
That’s why we launched our campaign: Together Through the Heat
A summer initiative for education, rapid assistance, and concrete support for animals in need.

About Phoenix
Phoenix was founded in 2001 by Rik and Sheelagh Johnson.
We rescue abandoned, abused or unwanted domestic animals; dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and equines (horses, donkeys and mules).
We may also help with rehoming pet goats, pigs and any other small domestic pets! We have a dedicated team of volunteer foster carers who lovingly care for them with maximum attention until they are ready for adoption.
We also give equine help and advice provided by our team at the Equine Helpline - equinehelpline@gmail.com
Become a Phoenix Association Member to receive our newsletter for updates on activities supporting us. Your annual membership fee of 25euros will go a long way to help local animal welfare.
